Why monday?

What is it about monday that makes people get shot?

We had several of them come through last night. I am kind of used to expecting this kind of thing friday and saturday night. Monday is unusual for me to see GSW's during.

In connection with that, I saw my first chest get cracked, and ended up sewing the wound later. I also almost got to intubate one when I argued that since the patient had a bullet in their head already, I was unlikely to compromise their outcome very much anyway. ALthough I got points for the premise, I was still denied.

Hopefully, this is not a prelude to friday. Friday is a pay weekend, and I have this feeling in my bones that it is going to be a wild one.

I am going to be studying a lot for the next ten days. On the 24th is my exam, and I am trying my damnedest to study. I have so much to do, and so little time, that it is mind-boggling.
