"toothpaste?!?"

posted Thu, 10/05/06

Alright, dammit!

I do not know where this old wives tale comes from, but I swear to [F---ing] God, I am going to put an end to it.

If your [F---ing] toddler spills hot tea down the front of their neck and chest, and the skin is so badly[F---ing] burned that it starts to slough off, do not, under any [F---ing] circumstances whatso[F---ing]ever, apply toothpaste to the affected area before teking them to the hospital. I cannot [F---ing] believe that there are some cultures that believe that this is the best thing to do. I mean, the kid is in a lot of [F---ing]pain already, the toothpaste probably does not feel that good itself, and then, because it dries, we have to start [F---ing] scraping it off before we can start treating the [F---ing] burn.

Folks, this may come as a shock to you, but scraping dried toothpaste off a burn area hurts like a [F---ing] sunofabitch.

thatisall.
