It is with heavy heart that I report that Colonel Jeff Cooper has shuffled off his mortal coil, and gone on to the undiscovered country that awaits us all.
He was a man of the old breed, and he lived an epic life. Mark ye mortals, this warrior who goes before us, for we are unlikely to meet his kind again. He taught us to ride, shoot straight, and speak the truth. He has cast aloft, with dying hands, a torch for us to bear high. We shall muffle the drum, and wear somber colours, for we mourn the passing of a fine man, while Odine feasts in fine company.
It will be one of the great unfullfilled accomplishments of my life to have never shared a word or drink with him.
